A river of marble
Inspired by the flowing Schuylkill River, Gensler gave Glenmede a three-storey Philadelphia office around a reimagined atrium for town halls and community events. A Calacatta Turquoise marble stair invites people to move between floors; a custom metal-rod wall works light and technology into the architecture, and local artisans made custom elements. Desks are unassigned to support hybrid work, and the amenities include a barista bar, a library and a recording studio.
