21 floors built around stairs, screens and places to meet
State Street consolidated its U.S. offices into 21 floors of the 48-story One Congress tower. Corgan designed the interiors after visioning sessions, focus groups and employee surveys, with community spaces meant to break down silos, high-end finishes and technology that makes meetings easier. Open stairs connect floors under big media walls, a ring of stock quotes circles the ceiling above one floor of desks, and the building adds a fitness center, a café and a 30,000 sq ft rooftop terrace.
