A 60-story tower with a fresco lobby, a skylit hall and sky gardens next door
Cesar Pelli designed the 871-ft granite-and-glass tower, crowned by 100-ft silver rods for “The Queen City”. Its concrete frame gives column-free office floors. In the lobby hang three frescoes by Ben Long — his first secular work and his largest. Next to the tower, Founders Hall sits under a free-spanning glass vault. A 2010 expansion by Perkins&Will added a 30-story tower with three-storey indoor “sky gardens” on nearly every office floor and an urban garden three floors above the street.
