THE HEADQUARTERS · HERITAGE LANES, BRISBANE

Spiral stairs and 4,000 plants across 18 floors

Suncorp consolidated its Brisbane headquarters into 18 floors (40,000 m²) of Mirvac's Heritage Lanes, designed inside by Hassell and completed in 2022. Sweeping spiral staircases link the levels; central circular meeting rooms flank kitchen hubs; more than 4,000 plants make garden-centred work hubs. There are 3,350 work points, 55% of them sit-to-stand, two wellness rooms for yoga and exercise, two multi-faith prayer rooms, two parents' rooms, cafés and outdoor terraces. Cork, stone and blackbutt timber warm the interiors. It won the 2023 GHM Addison Award for Interior Architecture in Queensland.
