THE HEADQUARTERS · 433 WEST VAN BUREN STREET, CHICAGO

A trading company in a landmark post office

Cboe's headquarters occupies four floors within two buildings of Chicago's historic Old Post Office. CannonDesign filled the voluminous work area with glass pavilions for meetings and offices, uplit wooden sculptural elements, and work settings that run from formal to quiet. A polished “momentum” ceiling with moving ticker displays stretches 140 feet above reception, murals change as people walk past, and the original landmarked mezzanine holds a secluded lounge, private dining and cantilevered-glass meeting rooms. The headquarters also hosts Cboe's Options Institute.
