THE HEADQUARTERS · MISSION BAY, SAN FRANCISCO

Parklets, secret rooms and a building nearly four football fields long

STUDIOS Architecture knitted Lyft's space inside two parallel, quarter-mile-long buildings into one. Desks are grouped into “urban neighborhoods” around indoor gardens modelled on San Francisco's parklets. Pinks, purples, blues and greens on columns and walls help people find their way, and the dark building core became a string of secret rooms: a speakeasy reached through a portrait of Willy Wonka, a hidden library and a game room.
