A theme for every floor, in sprinkle colors
STUDIOS Architecture took its cue from DoorDash's start as a doughnut delivery service and from San Francisco's history: playful colors and shapes like doughnut sprinkles, and a theme for each floor — the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the 1940s Fillmore jazz era and the 1970s Pride movement. The expansion, inside a historic building in SoMa, added a quiet lounge, a large event and training room, terraces for break-out meetings, a game area and a meditation space.

In late 2019 DoorDash moved into a new, larger office in San Francisco, with a dedicated space for in-person learning sessions and workshops. STUDIOS Architecture designed the multi-phase expansion of the headquarters, completed between 2019 and 2021.

DoorDash's IPO filing gives its principal executive offices as 303 2nd Street, South Tower, 8th Floor, San Francisco, under an operating lease that runs until 2032. Full-time employees had grown from 1,032 (end of 2018) to 2,600 (end of 2019).

DoorDash completed its acquisition of Wolt, a local commerce platform based in Finland, on May 31, 2022. By year end it had over 16,800 employees and about 240,000 sq ft of office leases at the San Francisco headquarters.
