THE NEW HEADQUARTERS · PFERDETURM · 2023

No fixed desks, one long yellow Loop

HENN shaped the campus on a plan inspired by motor-racing circuits. On the second floor the “Loop” runs through every building and across the bridge, with team areas, meeting rooms, a cafeteria and a health center along it. Inside, Ippolito Fleitz Group moved the walkways to the façades and filled the deep floors with free-standing “boxes” — from phone booths to large meeting rooms — so teams form neighbourhoods instead of rows of desks. Employees pick a desk each day with a booking system.

  • 6 buildings
  • 2,400 people
  • Desk booking, no assigned seats
  • Design: HENN
  • Interiors: Ippolito Fleitz Group
  • Up to 300,000 kWh a year from rooftop solar

What Continental does

Founded in 1871 as a Hanover rubber factory, Continental grew into a global automotive supplier. After spinning off Vitesco Technologies (2021) and Aumovio (2025), it is turning itself into a pure-play tire maker; the ContiTech industrial business is to be sold in 2026.

Two group sectors: Tires and ContiTech (rubber, metal and textile solutions for industry and vehicles).
