A ‘Sydney Blue’ staircase, an atrium over the Metro and a gallery in the lobby

1 Elizabeth is joined at most levels to the heritage-listed 50 Martin Place, whose atrium has an orange staircase. The new tower answers with an atrium staircase in “Sydney Blue”, inspired by the city's water and sky. Glass lifts run in a fully glazed side core, so daylight reaches the atria. There are outdoor terraces, a media-grade studio, ILUMINA — an event venue whose main hall holds up to 800 people — and The Art Space, a public gallery for the Macquarie Group Collection.
