Free-address floors, a lounge facing the Imperial Palace

Mitsubishi Corporation's head office was completely renovated from the fall of 2023. Employees choose where to sit each day, and the floors now mix many kinds of meeting space to encourage open discussion. Lounge 5, the shared lounge, is meant for people from different departments and floors to meet, with an unobstructed view of the Imperial Palace. The renovation used biophilic design with plants, natural sounds and scents, ergonomic furniture, a grid planning system for quick layout changes and a concierge service for office requests.
