THE HEADQUARTERS · MISSION ROCK · 2024

A 13-story rock face with terraces on almost every floor

Henning Larsen carved the building into smaller bays so it reads like a San Francisco neighborhood, not one big block. White precast facets catch the light; terraces wrap the second to fifth floors and step up to a sheltered roof terrace with views of Oracle Park and the Bay Bridge. Inside, HOK laid out the floors as “neighborhoods” of focus and team space, with no assigned seats.

What Visa does

Visa does not issue cards or lend money. It runs the network — VisaNet — that carries payments between the shopper's bank and the shop's bank, and charges for that. In FY2025 that meant nearly 5 billion Visa credentials, more than 175 million merchant locations and $17 trillion in payments and cash volume.

Revenue is reported by type: service, data processing, international transaction and other revenue, minus incentives paid to clients.
