Seven buildings on one 800-metre loop, around a garden shaped like a smile
Park C opened on AliDay, May 10, 2024, in Yuhang's Future Sci-Tech City. An 800-metre circular walkway — the designers call it the “U Space” — links six office buildings and a visitor center, so people can move and meet freely. In the middle is a “smiling face” garden with pomelo, bayberry and pomegranate trees for local wildlife. Every desk has a QR code to adjust its own air conditioning and lighting.

Park C, the global headquarters (2024)
Nihon Sekkei designed Park C as six office buildings and a visitor center joined by an 800 m covered loop called U Space; it opened on AliDay, May 10, 2024.
Inside the visitor center
B+H designed the interiors of the visitor center, with a tall entrance hall, galleries, an auditorium and a sports hall.

ASPECT Studios landscaped the campus around a central garden; the loop links all the buildings.

Office history: from an apartment to a 966,661 m² headquarters
- 1999 Jack Ma's apartment in Lakeside Gardens
Alibaba's 18 founders, led by Jack Ma, first gathered in his Lakeside Gardens apartment in Hangzhou and started the company there. Its first website was the English-language Alibaba.com.

During the SARS epidemic, quarantine kept staff from coming to work, but the business kept running. The shopping platform Taobao was founded — again in Jack Ma's apartment.
