THE HEADQUARTERS · LEVI'S PLAZA · ATRIUM REDESIGN 2025

A seven-story atrium turned into a “civic living room”

The main building at 1155 Battery Street is built around a tall, daylit atrium. In 2025 Gensler redesigned its ground floor: the store and the reopened Vault museum moved to the edges, and the atrium became an employees-only space with a café and coffee shop, reclaimed wood floors, a copper-clad reception desk that echoes denim rivets, seating built around living trees and artifacts from the company archives. Fifteen large sculptures hang through the full height of the atrium.

  • Atrium redesign: Gensler (2025)
  • 15 hanging sculptures, 7-story atrium
  • Employees-only café and coffee shop
  • Reclaimed wood floors, copper reception desk
  • Landscape: Lawrence Halprin
  • ≈ 300,000 sq ft over 7 floors
