THE HEAD OFFICE · BANDAI NAMCO MIRAI KENKYUSHO · 2016

“An exciting communication office”, one theme per floor

Bandai Namco Entertainment's floors (8th–12th) in the Mirai Kenkyusho were designed by Okamura around the idea of a “waku-waku” (exciting) communication office. Desks run alternately lengthwise and crosswise so that eyes meet, open meeting spots line the west windows, and every floor has a pantry lounge with its own theme and its own drinks — so people regularly drop in on other floors. On the top floor is Marche, the staff cafeteria, with daily set meals, rice bowls, soba, udon and pasta.

  • 8,100 m² of office (≈ 87,200 sq ft), floors 8–12
  • ≈ 1,100 people (Bandai Namco Entertainment)
  • A themed pantry lounge on every floor
  • Top-floor cafeteria “Marche”
  • Interior design: Okamura (2016)
